Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026 (Version 2.2)
1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Beijing AgentsDance AI Technology Co., Ltd. (北京跃迁效应人工智能科技有限公司), trading as Pocket Expert AI (“Pocket Expert AI”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We operate the Pocket Expert AI platform at agentsdance.ai(the “Service”), an AI agent platform that plans and executes tasks and delivers finished work such as research reports, slide decks, runnable web applications, images, and video.
You must be at least 18 years oldand legally able to enter into contracts to use the Service. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, and “you” refers to that organisation.
We may update these Terms as described in Section 15. Continuing to use the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
2. Service Description
The Service provides, depending on your plan:
- AI Agent workspace — autonomous planning and multi-tool execution that delivers reports, slide decks, runnable web apps, images, and video; scheduled recurring tasks; a persistent cloud sandbox for running code; and connectors to third-party tools you choose to link.
- AI search — hybrid keyword and semantic retrieval over data you provide, with AI summaries and citations.
- AI recommendations — personalised feeds and related-item recommendations with generated explanations.
- Model training — fine-tuning sample management, supervised fine-tuning, and one-click deployment of the resulting model as an OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
- Open API — OpenAI-compatible REST and streaming endpoints for embedding, rerank, and chat.
Digital service, delivered instantly. The Service is a digital SaaS product. Access, including your plan’s model credit allowance, is provisioned to your account immediately upon successful payment, and the Service is consumed as you use it. Because delivery is immediate and consumption is irreversible, refunds are limited as set out in Section 7 and in our Refund Policy.
Third-party AI models. The Service depends on large language models and other AI systems operated by third parties. See Section 9 for details of how your inputs are processed.
Features evolve. We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we make a change that materially reduces the core functionality of a plan you have already paid for, you may request a refund of the unused portion of that period under Section 7.4.
3. Account Registration & Security
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Do not share your credentials or API keys. API keys carry the same access as your account; treat them as passwords.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must keep a valid, monitored email address on your account. We use it for receipts, service notices, and account recovery, and we are not responsible for consequences of an out-of-date address.
- Do not create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits or free allowances.
4. Plans & Model Credit Allowances
We offer a Free plan and three paid plans — Plus, Pro, and Max — each available as a monthly or annual prepaid period. Current prices, plan features, model credit allowances, and concurrency limits are shown on our Pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
Model credit allowance. Each plan includes an allowance denominated in US dollars that is consumed as you use the Service. The allowance is displayed in the Service as credits, at a fixed rate of 100 credits per 1 USD (for example, a $20 allowance appears as 2,000 credits); credits are a display denomination of the same US-dollar allowance, not a separate currency. Consumption is metered in four ways, at the published rates shown in the Service:
- Agent usage — charged per token processed, at the published per-tier rate of the agent tier you select (or the per-model rate for a custom model).
- Tools — charged per successful call: web search, page reading, image understanding, and code execution. Failed calls are not charged.
- Media generation — image and video generation, charged per generated item at the published rate.
- Platform services — charged per use or per unit (for example AI search queries, recommendation requests, index building, sample generation, fine-tuning jobs, and model deployment time).
Allowance periods and expiry. Paid-plan allowances are measured over the calendar monthand reset on the 1st of each month, independently of when you purchased. Usage you incur earlier in the same calendar month counts towards that month’s allowance. Allowances do not roll over; unused allowance is not refundable or transferable. The Free plan includes a one-time starter allowance that does not reset. Allowances are granted per account, not per team member; on team accounts the allowance is shared.
Private models. If you configure your own third-party credentials, model usage and media generation routed to your own provider do not consume your allowance. Per-call tool fees and platform-service fees still apply, because we incur those costs regardless of whose key is used.
Exceeding your allowance. When your allowance is exhausted, new agent tasks are declined until the next reset or until you purchase a higher plan. We never charge overage fees and your account can never go into debt. Concurrency limits apply per plan and are enforced the same way.
Introductory pricing. Where a discounted introductory price is offered, it applies only to your first monthly purchase of that plan. The full standard price, and the price that applies to every subsequent purchase, is displayed alongside the introductory price at checkout and on the Pricing page.
We may change prices, plan contents, or rates. Changes never affect a period you have already paid for: the allowance and benefits you purchased are recorded against your account when payment completes and remain in force for that period.
5. Billing & Payment
Three purchase channels. Only one of them auto-renews. How you are billed — and who takes your money — depends on where you buy. Read the one that applies to you; they are not the same, and the difference matters.
5.1 Buying on our website, desktop app, or PWA — no automatic renewal. Every such purchase is a single, one-time payment for a fixed access period. You authorise us to charge your selected payment method once for the plan and period you choose at checkout. We do not store your card for future use, we do not set up a subscription, and we will never charge you again unless you actively make another purchase. When your paid period ends, your account simply returns to the Free plan.
Who takes the payment on this channel. Two processors, depending on the currency you choose:
- Waffo Pancake — the default, and the merchant of record for your purchase. Your bank or card statement may therefore show Waffo rather than our name. Cards, Alipay, PayPal and other methods are collected on Waffo’s own PCI-DSS compliant checkout; card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- WeChat Pay (direct) — for orders priced in CNY, we may settle through our own WeChat Pay merchant account with an in-page QR code. In that case we are the merchant and your WeChat bill shows our company name (Beijing AgentsDance AI Technology Co., Ltd.). We receive only the order and payment result from WeChat Pay — never your payment credentials.
5.2 Buying in the WeChat Mini Program — no automatic renewal. Mini Program purchases are also single, one-time payments for a fixed access period, settled through WeChat’s in-app virtual payment(WeChat is the collecting party). Note that WeChat’s platform rules prohibit virtual payment inside the Mini Program on iOS devices, so this channel is simply unavailable there.
5.3 Buying inside our iOS or Android app — auto-renewing subscription. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are auto-renewing subscriptions: they renew automatically at the end of each billing period and you will be charged again unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple or Google — not us — is the merchant for these purchases, takes the payment, and handles cancellations and refunds. Full terms for this channel are in Section 17 (App Store & Google Play Purchases), which prevails over this Section 5 and over Sections 6 and 7 for anything bought through an app store.
Taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars unless you select another currency. On the Waffo channel, any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is determined, collected, and remitted by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record; on the WeChat Pay direct channel we are the merchant and account for tax ourselves. For app store purchases, tax is handled by Apple or Google (Section 17). The total shown on the checkout page before you confirm is the full amount you will be charged.
Period length and stacking. A monthly plan grants 31 days of access; an annual plan grants 366 days. If you purchase the same plan again before your current period ends, the new period is added to the end of your existing one. If you purchase a different plan (an upgrade or a downgrade), the new plan takes effect immediately and any remaining time on the previous plan is replaced, not carried over or credited. If you want to keep unused time, wait until your current period ends before changing plans.
You are responsible for any bank, currency conversion, or intermediary fees charged by your own payment provider.
6. Ending Your Plan & Deleting Your Account
Nothing to cancel — if you bought on our website or in the WeChat Mini Program. Those plans never auto-renew, so there is no subscription to cancel and no cancellation deadline to watch. If you simply do nothing, your plan expires at the end of the period you paid for and your account reverts to the Free plan. No further payment is taken.
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, there IS something to cancel. Those subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions (Android). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Section 17.
Access after expiry. You keep full access to your paid plan through the end of the period you purchased. After expiry, your account continues to exist on the Free plan and your data, tasks, and deliverables are retained — nothing is deleted because a plan lapsed. Purchasing again restores the paid benefits.
Deleting your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account inside the Service, or by emailing [email protected] from your registered address. Deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone: your login credentials and API keys stop working immediately, you lose access to your workspace, and any remaining paid period is forfeited without refund. Stored content such as tasks, deliverables, workspaces, and connector authorisations is purged within 30 days. Export anything you want to keep before deleting. We retain payment and transaction records after deletion where required by law (see Section 11).
7. Refunds
This section summarises our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
⚠️ If you purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, this Section 7 does not apply to you. We are not the merchant for those purchases and we have no technical ability to refund them. Refunds are requested from, decided by, and paid by Apple or Google under their own policies. See Section 17.
7.1 First-purchase money-back window. For your first paid purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date, provided you have consumed no more than 20% of the model credit allowance included with that purchase, as assessed by us from your usage records. This window is more generous than the statutory minimum in most jurisdictions.
7.2 Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were charged twice for the same period, or charged in error, we refund the duplicate or erroneous amount in full, regardless of usage and regardless of the 14-day window.
7.3 Extended service outage. If the Service is materially unavailable for a continuous period of 72 hours or more during a period you have paid for, you may request a refund for the affected days, calculated by us on a reasonable pro-rata basis and processed manually.
7.4 Material reduction or termination by us. If we materially reduce the core functionality of a plan you have paid for, or terminate your account without fault on your part (see Section 13), we refund the unused portion of your current period, calculated by us on a reasonable pro-rata basis and processed manually.
7.5 What is not refundable. Outside the cases above, purchases are non-refundable once the access period has begun and the allowance has been provisioned — in particular, consumed allowance, unused allowance at the end of a period, allowance forfeited by changing plans mid-period (Section 5), and any remaining period forfeited by deleting your account (Section 6). We may decline refunds where we detect abuse of this policy, such as repeated purchase-and-refund cycles.
7.6 Statutory rights preserved. Nothing here limits any non-waivable right you have under the consumer law of your country — including the statutory cooling-off period available to consumers in the EU and UK, which applies to unused digital services.
7.7 How to request a refund. Email [email protected] from your registered address with your order ID and reason. We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and decide within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method by Waffo Pancake, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. A full refund revokes the paid benefits it granted and returns the account to the Free plan; a partial refund shortens the remaining paid period in proportion to the amount refunded.
8. Billing Disputes
If you do not recognise a charge or believe it is incorrect, please contact [email protected] before raising a chargeback with your bank. We acknowledge billing enquiries within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors, including issuing any refund due, within 5 business days.
Almost all disputes are resolved faster this way than through a bank. Note that your statement will show Waffo as merchant of record (Section 5), which is the most common reason a charge looks unfamiliar. Raising a chargeback without contacting us first may result in your account being suspended pending resolution.
9. AI Content, Your Inputs & Intellectual Property
9.1 You own your output. As between you and us, you own the content you submit (“Input”) and the content the Service generates for you (“Output”), subject to your compliance with these Terms and to third-party rights in any material you supply. You are responsible for how you use Output.
9.2 Limited licence to us. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display your Input and Output solely to operate and deliver the Service to you — including sending it to the AI providers described below — and to comply with law. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
9.3 No training on your content. We do not use your Input or Output to train our own foundation models without your explicit, separate consent.
9.4 Third-party AI processing. To fulfil your requests, your Input and related context are transmitted to third-party AI providers. Model calls are routed through a third-party model aggregation gateway, which forwards requests to the underlying model vendors — currently including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), and BAAI — alongside models we host ourselves. Your Input is therefore processed outside our infrastructure and is subject to those providers’ own terms and security practices. Where you connect a third-party account (for example email or calendar), data you authorise us to read may be included in that context. Do not submit content you are not permitted to share with these providers. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
9.5 AI output is not guaranteed. AI-generated Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for your purpose, and identical prompts may produce different results. You must review and verify Output before relying on it or publishing it. Output is not professional advice (see Section 12).
9.6 Our intellectual property. The Service itself — software, models we train and host, brand, and documentation — remains our property. These Terms grant you a right to use the Service, not ownership of it.
10. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and sets out the prohibited content categories, how we moderate content, how to report a violation, and how we enforce and hear appeals. The list below summarises the core prohibitions; the AUP controls in the event of any inconsistency.
You must not use the Service to:
- Break the law, infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights, or breach card network rules.
- Create or distribute content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or fraudulent.
- Produce material that sexually exploits or endangers minors, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or terrorism.
- Generate, publish, or distribute pornographic or sexually explicit (NSFW) content, or gratuitously violent or graphic content.
- Generate, publish, or distribute hate speech — content attacking, degrading, or inciting hatred, discrimination, or violence against a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease.
- Generate synthetic audio, images, or video that impersonate a real person (“deepfakes”) without their explicit consent, or that are used to deceive.
- Build, distribute, or operate malware, phishing pages, credential harvesters, or tools for cyberattacks.
- Circumvent security controls, rate limits, allowance limits, or access controls, or probe the Service or the accounts of others without authorisation.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
The following restrictions apply specifically because this is an AI service. You must not:
- Use Input, Output, or anything derived from them to train or improve a competing AI or machine-learning model.
- Systematically scrape, harvest, or extract Output at scale, including for benchmarking or dataset creation, without our written permission.
- Present AI-generated Output as the work of a qualified human professional in high-harm contexts — in particular medical, legal, or financial advice — or otherwise use it in a way that conceals its AI origin where that would mislead someone to their detriment.
You are solely responsible for content you generate and for how you use it. We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate accounts under Section 13.
11. Data, Privacy & Security
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It forms part of these Terms.
Payment data. Card and payment details are collected and processed by Waffo Pancake, our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor and merchant of record. We never receive or store your full card number.
Data retention. While your account is open, we retain your content so the Service can work. When you delete your account (Section 6), your account record, credentials, and API keys are removed immediately, and your stored content — tasks, deliverables, workspaces, and connector authorisations — is purged within 30 days. There is no recovery or grace period: deletion cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first. We retain payment and transaction records for 5 years after the transaction as required by applicable tax and accounting law, and we may retain limited records where necessary to resolve disputes or comply with a legal obligation.
Security. We apply industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, tenant isolation, sandboxed code execution, and encryption of stored credentials. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for the security of your own credentials and of any third-party accounts you connect.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
12.1 Service provided “as is”.To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or the accuracy of any AI output.
12.2 AI output disclaimer. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Always have a qualified professional review decisions that carry legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences. You are responsible for verifying Output before use.
12.3 Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if advised such damages were possible.
12.4 Exceptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Term & Termination
These Terms apply from the moment you create an account until your account is deleted by you or by us.
13.1 Your right to end. You may stop using the Service at any time, and may delete your account as described in Section 6.
13.2 Our right to suspend or terminate. We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practicable, if you materially breach these Terms (including Section 10), if we detect fraud, payment reversal abuse, or activity that endangers the Service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law. For less serious breaches we will generally warn you and give you a chance to fix the problem first.
13.3 Refund on termination without fault. If we terminate or permanently discontinue your account without fault on your part — for example if we shut the Service down — we refund the unused portion of your current paid period, calculated on a reasonable pro-rata basis. No refund is due where we terminate for your material breach or fraud.
13.4 Survival.Sections 7 (Refunds), 9 (IP), 11 (Data), 12 (Disclaimers & Liability), 14 (Governing Law), and 15 (General) survive termination.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of China have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally — that right is unaffected.
Please contact us first. Before starting any formal proceedings, email [email protected] with a description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve it with you within 30 days. Most disputes are billing questions and are resolved quickly under Section 8.
15. General Provisions
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. For material changes we will post the updated version here with a new effective date and version number and give at least 14 days’ advance notice by email or in-product notice before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. Changes never alter the price or benefits of a period you have already paid for.
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and the Pricing page, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
- Language. These Terms are published in English and Chinese; the English version governs. The Chinese translation is provided for convenience only.

17. App Store & Google Play Purchases
This Section applies only to purchases made inside our iOS or Android application through the Apple App Store or Google Play (each, an “App Store”). Where it conflicts with Sections 5, 6 or 7, this Section prevails.
17.1 Who takes your money. The App Store, not Pocket Expert AI, is the seller and merchant of record for these purchases. Payment is charged to your App Store account. We never see or store your card details. Your receipt comes from the App Store.
17.2 Auto-renewal. App Store subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown on the purchase screen. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal continues until you cancel.
17.3 How to cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions (Android). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
17.4 Refunds. We cannot refund an App Store purchase — we are not the merchant and have no technical means to do so. Request refunds from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or from Google Play, under their policies. Our own Refund Policy does not apply to these purchases.
17.5 What you get. Plan benefits, credit allowances and concurrency limits are identical across every channel and are stated on the purchase screen before you buy. If an App Store price differs from our website price, that is App Store pricing and currency conversion — the benefits are the same.
17.6 Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app to re-apply an existing entitlement. Restoring re-reads what the App Store already has on record; it never charges you again and never reduces a plan you already hold.
17.7 Terms required by Apple. For purchases made through the Apple App Store, the following apply, in addition to Apple’s own Licensed Application End User License Agreement:
- Parties. These Terms are concluded between you and Pocket Expert AI only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.
- Scope of licence. Your licence to use the application is non-transferable and limited to use on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the application. If the application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the application to you; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the application or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the application fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the application or your use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Questions, complaints and claims regarding the application should be directed to the contact details in Section 16.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the application.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
We acknowledge billing and refund enquiries within 2 business days (Sections 7 and 8).
